Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make the shop work at all. Others only run if you agree to them. This page explains which is which.

Your choice

When you first visit nortlex.com you are shown a cookie banner. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories below runs until you accept it. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies for this site, which brings the banner back.

Strictly necessary

These keep the shop functioning and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.

  • Basket and checkout — remembers the items you have added and keeps you signed in through checkout. Set by Shopify.
  • Security — protects against fraudulent orders and helps keep the checkout secure.
  • Consent record — remembers which cookie choice you made, so we do not ask again on every page.

Analytics

These help us see which pages people actually use, so we can fix what is not working. They only run with your consent.

  • Google Analytics — counts visits, shows which pages and products are viewed, and reports where visitors came from. It records a shortened form of your IP address and a randomly generated identifier, not your name or address.
  • Google Tag Manager — the container Google uses to load the analytics and advertising tags listed here. It does not itself identify you.
  • Shopify analytics — the sales and traffic reports in our own admin.

Marketing

These let us advertise our products and see whether an advert actually led to a sale. They only run with your consent.

  • Google Ads and Google Shopping — measures whether a click on one of our Google Shopping listings resulted in a purchase, and allows us to show our products to people who have visited the site before.

Turning cookies off in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working, so you will not be able to place an order.
